Dr. Brandon Brown is a fetal and pediatric radiologist at Riley Hospital for Children. In addition, Dr. Brown chairs the Teacher Learner Advocacy Committee (TLAC) at Indiana University School of Medicine.
“Through TLAC, we spend time identifying challenges, and giving them proper attention. But obstacles are not the whole story. There are numerous people going out of their way to help one another, not just because it’s their assignment or because it’s going to bring some benefit to themselves, but because it’s the right thing to do. Yet I wonder if those stories of kindness and compassion don’t get told quite as much as the stories of obstacles. So, we want to tell stories of the everyday excellences that surrounds us.”
