Drs. John and Lisa Delaney discuss their journey through unexpected renal failure, receiving the gift of life, and the challenges of organ transplant.
John Delaney is originally from St. Joseph, Missouri, north of Kansas City. Lisa is from Belleville, Illinois, right outside of St. Louis. They met in medical school in Columbia, Missouri, right between the two. They graduated from the University of Missouri - Columbia School of Medicine, got married, and moved to Indianapolis to start residency in 2000. John completed a residency in psychiatry and a fellowship in child psychiatry and Lisa completed a residency in diagnostic radiology and a fellowship in pediatric radiology. John and Lisa both work for IU Health Physicians. They now live in Carmel, Indiana with their four kids, Lauren, Caroline and twins Evan and Luke and their dog, Fletcher.
